Pollensa Old Town - Charming medieval town of Pollensa is about 6 km for Puerto Pollensa
With a wealth of history and charm, Pollensa old town offers the visitor a more authentic Mallorcan experience for the visitor.
Traditional fiestas & fairs rub alongside classical music festivals, and it has one of the best markets on Majorca.
The town retains its old world charm with an eclectic mix of old and new creating a unique attraction in Majorca.
There are lovely shops and some fantastic retaurants. The main pedestrian areas of the town
is mostly accessible but there are a few slopes to negotiate as the town is built on a slight slope.
There is a market on a Sunday which is very busy during peak season.
Alcudia Old Town - Medieval walled town in the north of Majorca
Alcudia is a perfectly restored walled city on the site of a Roman
settlement. This is a gem of a place, a maze of narrow streets
enclosed by medieval ramparts that have been carefully restored.
Alcudia provides a real contrast to the more touristy beach resort of Puerto Alcudia.
A couple of new boutique hotels have sprung up, and modern
gastronomic restaurants provide a more interesting dining
experience than you may experience in the Port.
During the summer, there are plenty of al fresco events, with
dramatised tours of the town, and theatre productions in the old
Roman amphitheatre. The Festival of Sant Jaume is held in July, and the Alcudia Jazz festival starts at the end of August and runs for a month.
